In September 2009, during my Junior year of college, I went to England for four and a half months. From there I backpacked across Europe, and came back to the States in January, 2010.

For the trip I decided that it was important to document everything that happened, as thoroughly as possible, so I could come back and share my experiences with others. I hand-bound three 5″ by 7″ sketchbooks, got bottles of ink and sets of watercolors, and got to it. This blog is the final product of this endeavor.

The journal pages on this blog were created September 2009 – January 2010. This blog will be updating every Monday and Friday almost exactly a year later, starting in September 2010, and ending in February 2011.

When I first made the blank books, I wrote: “I want them to be filled with triumphs and heartaches, bad drawings and horrible prose, and pure and utter honesty.” We’ll see what you think.
