The second update! At this point I had boughten a UK mobile phone, which is where I was getting my dates and times, so they’ll be written the English way from now on. That means day first and month second, and a 24-hour clock, which means no AM or PM distinction.

The top of page 1 is a bit odd because I was still trying to test out what exactly I wanted these journals to look like. I decided pretty quickly I was going to stick solely to observational drawing. Continuing this disclaimer, the words at the bottom of the page are a bit… illegible…. because I was writing under the table, trying to hide it from the other people at the restaurant. Another thing I learned quickly is that if you are going to draw in public, you have to own it.

Pages 3 and 4, that was the view out of my bedroom. That’s my neighborhood.

Also, on page 4 you will read my weird attempt at a joking observational critique between Baltimore and England. Thankfully, I got over this quickly, too.
