Dogs of my Life in Recent Years
gouache on illustration board 20" x 15" each September 2007 Dogs of my Life in Recent Years is a series of four gouache paintings. Each depicts a dog(s) that I had gotten to know. Each painting has a plaque with the dog's name, breed and a date. The dates show the time span which I had known the dog(s). I find dog relationships to be much like human relationships. You get to know them, their names and their habits, and then you lose contact. They also get to know you. This is a simple ode to the dogs that I have gotten to know in recent years.
